Yabai tours is a well established tour guiding company in Central Hokkaido, based in Asahikawa & Furano. We are looking for experienced snow professionals with previous guiding or resort work experience.
We are specifically targeting, warm & friendly staff who are willing to work along with our existing Japanese & Australian guides to create an epic, memorable experience for our appreciative guests.

Postition available between December 27, 2026 - March 6th, 2027

Position Requirements:
Backcountry guide experience and qualifications essential
Pro Level 1/ CAA Ops 1: equivalent or higher avalanche management qualification
Minimum of current 40 hours of first aid qualification
Expert-level skier or snowboarder
Strong leadership and communication skills
Able to work long hours, holidays, weekends, and nights if required
A focus on customer satisfaction
Full driver’s license, with IDP (International Drivers Permit) licence certificate
Positive attitude, and good adaptability skills.
Able to secure a Japanese working holiday visa or experience/qualifications to gain a skilled labor visa.
Required Skills:
English communication: high level
Backcountry ski guiding experience essential
Weather analysis experience
Snow pack, snow condition analysis experience
Experience with GPS, terrain maps
Terrain travel, risk mitigation
High level of first aid & rescue skills
Excellent customer service
Ability to work well in a team
Group organization & leadership skills
Able to work independently
