BOOKING

All bookings are subject to availability. Verbal quotes are regarded as an estimate and prices are only confirmed when a booking confirmation invoice is issued. Your booking is not completely secured until we have received your deposit payment. Once the tour details have been finalized, we will send you a tour confirmation email with all details, prices & inclusions, for your acceptance.

PAYMENTS

Upon acceptance of tour confirmation, we will send you a booking confirmation invoice.

We require a 50% deposit upon acceptance, with the balance due 90 days before the tour date begins.

Tours booked within the 90 period before you tour is set to begin, must be paid in full at the time of booking.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

Cancellations are allowed, but you will be subject to cancellation fees. If you cancel up until 90 days before the tour date begins, then you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 10% of the total tour cost, plus a 4% administrative fee to cover non-recoverable transaction costs. The remaining amount will be refunded to you.

If you cancel within 90 days of the tour start date, then a cancellation fee of 100% of the total tour cost will be charged. This includes 100% of payments already made.

CANCELLATIONS BY YABAI TOURS

Yabai Tours reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure, including a confirmed trip, due to circumstances beyond our control. In this situation, you will be given the option of changing to another trip or receiving a full refund. Yabai Tours is not responsible for any incidental expense you have incurred as a result of your booking (for example: airline tickets, car rental, hotel reservations, equipment rental etc..)

CHANGES

If you need to change the tour date to another week or time slot, we will do this free of charge.

Date change will be acceptable if:

• We receive more than 21 days notice before the tour is to begin, AND we have availability to accommodate you on the new date.

• There is severe weather making your planned tour date impossible

SNOW CONDITIONS / WEATHER CONDITIONS

Tours will go ahead on the day regardless of typical weather conditions (eg; heavy snow, extreme temperature, strong wind, lack of snow, rain, or other weather conditions). In the rare event that it is too dangerous to proceed with the tour (to be determined by our guides) then a refund will be made available, or a date change offered (whichever you prefer)

During the daytime, central Hokkaido regularly sees temperatures between -5 degrees and -25 degrees (seen regularly on mountains with high altitudes) Please make sure that you have suitable ski wear to keep you comfortable in these conditions.

**Please be aware that 'Yabai Tours' cannot under any circumstance be held responsible for snow conditions. Your tour will not be cancelled, amended or postponed due to undesirable snow conditions.

AGE & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

Tour participation minimum age is 13 years (at time of tour) 13-17years children must be accompanied by a legal guardian. No maximum age requirement. Travel insurance (that includes health insurance) is required by all participants)

TRAVEL INSURANCE

It is mandatory for all tour participants to have travel insurance that includes health cover and also includes 'off-piste snow-sports' travel insurance. (We require a for a copy for our records)

WAIVER

Before the tour date, our guide will ask you to sign our tour participation waiver. This waiver releases 'Yabai tours' and it's staff members from all accountability, and it states that you understand the dangers & risks involved in participating in the tour and that you are willing to accept responsibility.

ACCEPTANCE OF RISK

Snow boarding, skiing, and participating in our tours involves a certain level of risk. Colliding with trees, falling off steep edges, hitting your head on a tree, a groomed run, or hard-packed run, are all very real risks. We highly recommend wearing helmets to prevent serious injury. Sudden weather changes and avalanches, are also common in the backcountry. All clients must understand there is no absolute guarantee of safety.

'Yabai tours' accept no responsibility for death, illness or any other injuries sustained whilst participating in our tours (either during the tour or travelling to/ from the tour location). Your waiver will clearly define the terms.

That being said, our experienced guides will take all necessary steps to minimize the risk during your tour. We reserve the right to cancel a tour if it is deemed too dangerous by our guides.
